Privacy Policy — Kepton
Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Kepton, published by Webonika, handles information. Chat content is processed only on the user’s device. Webonika does not operate a service that receives, stores, or can access imported chats.
What the app does
Kepton drafts reply suggestions and shows conversation pattern insights from exports the user chooses to import, and from text the user explicitly selects or pastes. Insights and Analysis describe patterns in message data; they are not psychological, medical, or legal advice and do not assess anyone’s character.
What we do not collect
We do not collect chat messages, contact names or relationship notes, embeddings, Analysis threads, or content-uploading analytics or crash SDKs. There is no account and no sign-up.
One network operation
The only intentional network step is a one-time AI model download that the user starts. The app shows size information and obtains consent first, then downloads over HTTPS from an allowlisted host. A CDN may see the user’s IP address and the fact of the download — not chat content. After setup, an in-app network block can refuse further internet access.
On-device storage
Imported chats, profiles, memory and embeddings, and Analysis threads or notes are stored only on the phone, encrypted at rest. Raw import files are deleted after parsing. Clipboard or selected text is used only when the user takes an action that needs it; it is not uploaded.
Deletion
The user can delete contact-related data in-app. Uninstalling the app removes local app data. We cannot remotely delete what we never hold.
Permissions
Kepton may request the following permissions for these purposes:
- Internet — for the optional one-time model download.
- Display over other apps — for the optional floating bubble.
- Notifications — for optional memory-build progress.
- Foreground service — for on-device embedding work with a visible notification.
Children
Kepton is intended for adults 18 years of age and older.
Third parties
We do not sell data. The app does not include third-party SDKs that receive chat content. Open-source and model licenses are listed in-app.
